The Indian National Center for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) hosted a WAVEWATCH III (a third generation spectral wind wave model) training workshop in Hyderabad, India from Jan 26th - Jan 29th 2010. Dr. Tolman and Dr. Chawla from the National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) in Washington DC were invited to provide training on the WAVEWATCH III model and associated grid development routines. The participants were also given a glimpse of the operational modeling environment at NCEP. The workshop was organized by Dr. Balakrishnan Nair of INCOIS and included over 20 participants from 8 different research and operational modeling organizations across India.
