This is phase 1 of a 30 year wave hindcast study that is being developed in 3 phases using the WAVEWATCH III^® model. At this phase the model has conducted a simulation of the 30 year period using the Tolman-Chalikov physics package with 16 regular lat-lon grids and the new NCEP Climate Forecast System Reanalysis Reforecast (CFSRR) homogeneous data set of hourly 1/2° spatial resolution winds, to generate a wave climatology.
