The graphics generated for the local areas are exact subsets
of the hemispheric grids' data, on the same grid. The resolution
is unchanged from the full grid's, 12.7 km on a polar stereographic
grid true at 60 N. The reference longitude is 80 W in both
hemispheres.
The Alaska grid moves with the changing ice season, but the other
grids are fixed. The Antarctic graphics are only displayed during
certain times of year -- those when there may be something interesting
occurring.
Corner point locations, in both latitude-longitude and i,j values,
are given below. The i,j are in from the hemispheric grid, and start
counting at 0 (C-like references).
